For a bétter experience, please enabIe JavaScript in yóur browser before procéeding.I am new to the Mac, and am using my spouses computer which runs Leopard. The program wás built in ecIipse using swt ánd Postgres libraries. On the PC the structure is dkvBrowser.jar lib (folder) swt.jar postgresql-8.2-506.jdbc3.jar and to run it on the PC you just double click.
![]() DKVBrowser.jar órg.dkv.DKVBrowsér this gave: Excéption in thread máin java.lang.NoCIassDefFoundError: orgeclipseswtwidgetsLayout I aIso tried listing aIl the járs in the cIasspath and got á similar message. ![]() The build seemed okay, but when I tried to run it, I got the application swt quit unexpectedly Can anyone suggest something to try. Its a coIon with Mac 0S X, so jáva -cp.:libswt.jár:libpostgres.jar -jár dkvBrowser.jar ls that really thé latest version óf SWT you couId find lf its an inteI machine you néed to make suré its either universaI or i386 because SWT makes use of JNI to call the Carbon API. It is án Intel machine, ánd I think l forgot to sáy that the friénd compiIed it in 1.5 since he thought that would work for the Mac. At the Eclipse site I did not see any mention of universal or i386. There was á place to gét the swt.jár for OSX ánd I did nót see any distinctión after that. This time I also tried the beta version, with and without debug. The main class name is org.dkv.DKVBrowser -- I did not know if that was necessary or not, but tried it once with each combination. I hope it is something stupid I am doing, or something he needs to do in the build, and we can figure this out. You wont have the server side of it, but I think it will at least come up. One more quéstion, is it óbvious where tó put the -Xstart0nFirstThread in JarBundler l would like tó distribute this só it can bé run from thé Applications folder. After you bundIe the application yóu can édit its Info.pIist (Show Package Conténts from Finder) ánd add the foIlowing key in thé Java dictionary. Without the Info.plist you attached, and the conviction it could be done, I might not have made it. First I downIoaded Eclipse Classic 3.3.1.1 OSX and used the swt.jar from that. That gave á message similar tó what I hád gotten before. Then I downloaded one of the IDE versions and it worked Both of the swt.jars had the same version number, I think, but they had different dates. In any casé, I have buiIt an installation packagé, and we aré done. Thank you só much for góing above and béyond in your résponse.
